29 Weeks 3 Days

Nearing 30 weeks, we're amazed at how large my stomach is as Newest Neilly continues growing. Her kicks now feel more like she's rolling around in me. At nearly 15 inches in length and approximately 2 1/2 pounds, she is big enough to reside under my ribs some allowing me to feel a few kicks to the ribs...those have startled me as I'm amazed at how strong they are. For some reason, she likes giving me those startling surprises in the middle of meetings! Daddy (Brad), has felt her kicks and movements more and has been surprised at times that it's her he's feeling as she gains strength. Every now and then if we're watching long enough, she'll give a good kick that has my stomach "bouncing" - giving both of us a good laugh. However, she seems shy at times as if she recognizes people's hands, as mommy and daddy get the most privileges of feeling her move under our hands. We've taken some classes to learn about how to prepare more for her at home as well as how to stimulate her both now and after birth. Newest Neilly can now open and close her sweet eyes and even detect varying brightness' of light. She can also hear outside noises much better and definitely gets an idea of how much her daddy loves having music playing throughout our home! As we're educated on her little world right now, we're consistenly reminded of how amazing God is in how he created people, the experience of being pregnant, and provides for us both before and after birth. We've got just under 11 weeks until her due date..time has flown!

25 Weeks

Baby Girl Neilly is getting bigger...at 25 weeks I've got enough of a "baby bump" that everyone at work has officially noticed we're expecting a baby soon. Our doctor appointment on March 4th once again confirmed that Newest Neilly is growing as she should be and continues to have a strong heart beat. Our excitement continues to grow to meet our little girl and her bedroom is beginning to scream "little girl" all the more as we gather more items to fill her room with and prepare for her grand entrance into the world.

20 Weeks 4 Days!

These pictures were taken the same day we found out Newest Neilly is a little girl! In one of these pictures I believe she was either sucking her thumb or posing as if she were :) In another picture she kept moving her legs up to her face - this did not look comfortable but it seemed to be just fine with her! This picture shows her sweet eyes closed and starts to show her little nose. Her legs, feet, and arms are covering the rest of her sweet face but this shows enough of her to prove she's a cutie! There is also a front view of her, the picture of her little mouth being open (like her daddy's!), a profile of her legs and bottom, her spine, and her "posing" with her sweet hand resting against the side of her cheek. She's a cutie and is showing us her personality more each day as she kicks and moves around inside of her mommy! We're SO excited to finally hold her and see her in person in four months or less!

Newest Neilly is a...

GIRL! On Wednesday, February 4th Brad and I watched Newest Neilly moving around in an ultrasound again and found out that Newest Neilly is a girl! Shortly after the appointment, Brad was already calling her his "little princess." I've been promoted to being his Queen :) We're still deciding on a name for our little girl but are finding our relationship with her becoming all the more personal as we are able to refer to her as our little girl. Our little girl was ~10 inches from head to foot on Wednesday and ~13 oz in weight. She's growing just as she should be and received a "good report" during the ultrasound that everything is as it should be in her sweet body. One picture confirmed she's taking some traits from her daddy already, as her mouth was hanging open in the picture (Brad later confessed that as he saw that in the ultrasound he realized he was watching it with his own mouth hanging open)! Our excitement to have our little girl continues to grow stronger each day as we continue working on preparing her bedroom for her grand entrance into our home this Spring!

18 Weeks 6 Days

As the 19th full week of this pregnancy nears (tomorrow) Newest Neilly is definitely getting my attention! In the last week or two not only have I felt the familiar "flutters" of the previous month, but I believe I am now feeling kicks! Newest Neilly gave me a nice kick today at work that certainly caught my attention :) Each time Newest Neilly sends a kick, I try to make sure Daddy (Brad) hears about it. He's greatly looking forward to the time when he too gets to start feeling those kicks by resting his hands on my belly. I don't think he'll have to wait much longer as I'm pretty sure I felt a kick with my own hand last night. We find out Newest Neilly's gender on February 4th at our next doctor appointment!

Three Months

As you can see, Newest Neilly is growing! I'm starting to feel what people call "fluttering" feelings which means Newest Neilly is continuing to move around!

Newest Neilly's Newest Pictures!

Brad and I had another ultrasound today (nothing to be concerned about!) and got a handful more pictures of Newest Neilly! Newest Neilly's hearbeat was 158 beats per minute and we were amazed to see just how active Newest Neilly is! We were able to see two legs, two arms, Newest Neilly's nose, lips, spine, stomach, heart beating, bladder, feet, hands, and the rest of Newest Neilly's body! It was one of the most amazing things Brad and I have ever seen! Newest Neilly was kicking and moving it's arms all over the place! We weren't able to get a front facial view of Newest Neilly but we did get a handful of profile pictures! Newest Neilly is continuing to grow at a healthy and steady rate! We meet with the doctor for another routine check-up on January 6th!

12 weeks 4 days!

Today Brad and I went in for another check-up and heard Newest Neilly's heartbeat for the first time! It was AMAZING! Newest Neilly's heartbeat was 165 beats per minute and we were able to hear our baby's heart beating very clearly and well! The doctor let us know she is now changing Newest Neilly's due date to June 19th due to the ultrasound we had about a month ago...just days before Mommy's (Brittany's), birthday :) Hearing Newest Neilly's heartbeat was an incredible experience and was very special for Brad and I to share with one another today! We look forward to holding and loving our baby in less than six months and raising this child of ours together and seeing this baby grow-up!

10 Weeks

Well it's been about a month since the last baby bump picture and as our ultrasound shows, Newest Neilly continues to grow!

We are currently in the 10th week of our pregnancy and getting closer to entering into the 2nd trimester!
